A little backstory on my involvement with the production. Good Morning New York was created, produced, and written by Jacki Thrapp and co-composed by Dylan Adler. Shortly after the script's staged reading in early summer 2018, I joined the creative team as the director and co-choreographer. We then had a showcase at Feinstein's/54 Below - one of my favorite venues in New York City - for a night of Good Morning New York's music. About a month later, we brought the production to The PIT Loft for a three-week limited engagement before adding in a full band for our official debut at The New York Theater Festival 2018.
In 2019, we began rehearsals for GMNY's Off-Broadway debut at The Players Theater. You can learn more about the behind-the-scenes process from Jacki Thrapp's Making A Musical podcast for which I've had the pleasure of being a guest and a fill-in host.
